Abbreviation "Subj"

I was confused by the hint given for the first sentence:

Use lo que + verb + subj for emphasis ...

I interpreted "subj" as "subjunctive", and made quite a mess of my answer !

Mistake maybe?Parece como si hubieses tenidouna pelea con alguien.It looks as if you have had a fight with someone.Doesn’t hubieses tenido mean had had (a fight)? I thought have had is “haya tenido”.
