Hola Alice,

I am not sure what you mean by "it doesn't appear to be a directive to me". Do you mean there aren't two subjects?

"No necesitabas que yo te llevara a la estación."

The first subject is "you" (tú no necesitabas) and the second in the subordinate clause is "I" (yo te llevara).

We are saying here "You didn't need that I took you to the station" = "You didn't need me to take you to the station"

Were you referring to this?

Saludos,

Inma
