El Presente de Subjuntivo

Spanish present subjunctive

El presente de subjuntivo is the present tense of the subjunctive mood. It is used after certain conjunctions, expressions, and verbs to indicate some sort of subjectivity, such as a wish, doubt, fear, necessity, possibility, as well as to express a judgment of personal value or obligation.

For example

Es injusto que lo dejes.
It is unfair that you should leave it.

Me extraña que no esté aquí hoy.
I'm surprised he's not here today.

Hablaremos más, tan pronto como sepa algo.
We'll talk more as soon as I know something.
