Curious how common the use of "sadden" is? In English, it would be much more natural/common to say "the film makes me sad" or "stray dogs make me sad" although you could also say "they sadden me." Does "los perros abandonados me hacen (o me ponen) triste" exist in common Spanish usage, or do speakers usually use the reflexive? Thank you!
To translate 'understand a contract' you suggest 'comprender un contrato'
I was confused so consulted AI which said...
GraciasI don't understand this structure. Please help out. Why is "de," added after " voy a +inf"?
If querer que is a subjunctive because it expresses wants, why is the negative also subjunctive? It expresses "not wants". Or is it because that technically also counts as a want? I remember reading that if you have a negative of a subjunctive it becomes an indicative

Wondering why there wasn’t an alternative that would include “ya” and “lo”? (I know you addressed this in your reply below for "lo" but wouldn't it be an acceptable answer nevertheless? or is it really a rookie error on my part?
what is the distinction between to two forms of "where"
Cuando artistas colaboran con inteligencias artificiales ( plural )
La IA continua continúa inspirando debates ( singular )
I don't understand what's happening here?
I'm very confused by this as according to the lesson, the structure:
'A tan solo + (length of time) + de' is used to express an action occurring before another action.
I don't see why my answer ' a solo pocos años de.. ' is incorrect.
Gracias
Hi, so I have a test on "mi casa". I'm in grade 6, and can you recommend possible areas to study, especially because I'm new to Kwiziq!
Hola Inma, In the introductory paragraph to this lesson, it says “the conditional clause with ‘como si’ can be placed ……” I think this should be “the conditional clause with como.” Sí?
Saludos. John
