I doesn’t make any difference what the lister knows or doesn’t know. It is what the speaker perceives. Your explanation makes understanding the tooic moe confusing. Sorry

Listener is not Important
Hola Stan,
I understand there may be different explanations or interpretations when discussing the uses of the subjunctive. As a native speaker, this is how I perceive and use these structures in practice.
So, if I use aunque with the present subjunctive, I am presenting this information either as a future event (something that might happen soon or in the future) or as something that my listener already knows, perhaps because we've already been talking about it or because it is generally accepted knowledge (e.g. aunque la Tierra sea redonda...).
However, if I present this information as something that I think my listener may not be aware of, and I want to state it as a real fact and emphasise it, it feels more natural to use the present indicative.
Is this different from what you mean when you say that "it is what the speaker perceives"?
Perhaps we're looking at the same idea from slightly different angles. I'd be interested to hear how you would explain the distinction between aunque + indicative and aunque + subjunctive.
Happy to discuss 😊
Saludos,
Inma
