There’s too much new material in this lesson. I was only familiar with present subjunctive. To introduce two new subjunctive tenses here is a little much.

Thank you for introducing us to this song by Amaral.  I have loved the group since hearing the song Cuando Subo la Marea in the series La Casa de Papel.  This was such a powerful song, and also a great one for Spanish learners, and the interactive reader helped me understand it more fully.  I appreciate the varied content and learning opportunities that you provide!

Do we also use a zero article when talking about other fundamental aspects of who we are? I am thinking of things like gender (I'm a woman; I'm a man) or familial identity (I'm a mom; I'm an uncle).

The topic is the Mosque-Cathedral in Córdoba

Se encuentra en Córdoba, la que fue la capital del Califato Omeya andalusí, que fue proclamado por Abderramán III en 929.

Could I say:

Se encuentra en Córdoba, la capital del Califato Omeya andalusí, que fue proclamado por Abderramán III en 929.

Could we say “Es esencial que hayan buenos acuerdos entre ellos”?

"Esta debe ser roja para tener amor, blanca para llamar a LA paz, azul para buena salud y negra para atraer EL lujo".  I consistently get this wrong. I either add a definite article or miss it out. Are there any rules for this?

I think that the concept of "verbs like gustar" might become clearer by seeing a literal translation as well as the English interpretation/translation. 

Is this the correct sentence construction for "verbs like gustar"?

Indirect Object + verb like gustar + subject ?

Le entristece la mala noticia = The bad news saddens her.

Could the literal translation be: For her, the news is saddening OR should it be To her, the news saddens? Neither really make sense in English! “Her, the news saddens = The news saddens her” and makes the verb transitive, no? And “her” becomes the Direct Object “la” instead of the Indirect Object “le”. Can “entristecer” be used as a transitive verb AND as a “verb like gustar”?

But surely the more correct Spanish would be: 

Las malas noticias la entristecen OR la entristecen las malas noticias

Are both forms acceptable?

How then can I reconcile la in that last version with the le in the lesson version? "La" is a Direct Object while "le" is an Indirect Object, no?

So, again, can “entristecer” be both transitive and a “verb like gustar”? OR is either version incorrect?

Couldn´t sueter  be a suitable option for jersey?

Also, what is the principal for  "de"  after parar or dejar in the last sentence,  "no parará de reír. "  or is this something  to memorize.
