Sobran a patadas...

Buenas tardes,

Within the context of the passage, would I be right in saying that, "...sobran guionistas a patadas..." means "there are plenty of or more than enough screenwriters"?

Ella hubiera venido.She would have come.

Use of imperfect subjunctive

Why is the imperfect subjunctive used, as it is not a repeated or continued action?

Spanish missing some of the englishVoy a cambiar a mi hijo de colegio ________ no mejora pronto. I will transfer my son to another school if he doesn't improve soon.
“To another school” is missing in spanish.

Confused as to how 'antes de' works in the example

In the example Nosotros podemos salir antes del trabajo temprano hoy, wouldn't it mean the same thing to say Nosotros podemos salir del trabajo temprano hoy.
