I don't understand the construction of the sentence: You do not have my permission to talk to me this way

“no te consiento que me hables así” surely implies: I do not permit you to talk to me this way

Is this wrong:

Tú no tienes mi permiso para hablar conmigo así.

In: Level B2, Verbs Tenses & Conjugation, Modo indicativo, Modo subjuntivo, Oración subordinada temporal

1. Cuando is always used with past tenses in the indicative ….
2. If we use past tenses in the subjunctive with Cuando …

There appears to be a direct contradiction above:

In statement #1, it is stated that Cuando must be in the indicative mood
in statement #2, it is stated that Cuando may be in the subjunctive mood.

I can't find any on-line Spanish grammar text that indicates that "que" can be used in place of "porque" to begin an explanatory clause. I assume that that usage must be very colloquial and only used when talking with friends.  Am I correct about that?

Could I say... Después de  vivir en Madrid por diez años yo me he vuelto Español.

You give:- Ha venido quejandose hasta hoy = He's been complaining until today.    Then:- Sospecho que desde aquel dia viene ocultamdome...- he's been hiding...

Same tense in English but different in Spanish.  Why, please?

Yo creo que la palabra ella es una combinación de las palabras el y la. Similarmente, la palabra ellos es una combinación de las palabras el y los y también la palabra nosotros es una combinación de las palabras nos y otros y también la palabra vosotros es una combinación de las palabras vos y otros. Me parece que son similares con el tipo de palabras en inglés llamada contracciones. Yo espero que yo tengo razón pero no estoy seguro de este.  Por favor me explique.

My task was to translate "I am going to the museam". I think it must be "Estoy yendo al museo". But the right answer turned out to be "Me voy al museo", which in my opinion means literally "I go to the museum".

I am struggling with that one, my native language is French and although my English is pretty good (I am an English teacher after all), the difference between "wanted" and "wanted" is pretty slim indeed....

isn't there a more grammatical approach to this ? I am afraid the semantics approach does not cut it for me ...
