El guía is masculine? La guía would be feminine?
I don't understand why this is El Pretérito Imperfecto rather than only past tense.
I still don't understand why this is incorrect:
Ella tiene dos casas y los dos están en Miami.She has two houses and both are in Miami.
Where is the word for " fire " in the model answer . Why has it been omitted ?

Is is possible to explain when to use tener alittle more? I found on the internet that we use tener when talking about an abstract noun or direct object. Is that correct? If so then when do I use mide+measurement etc. ?
In the reading exercise Espiritu Navideño, the woman is described as espíritu mágico de Navidad. How come, the ending is not changed to match the feminine "mujer"?
Todo alcalde merece respeto. (English trans: All mayors deserve respect.) Why is it not Todos alcades merece respeto?
