Brutal for a B1 exercise

Wow, this one is tough for B1. Lots of options for word choices regarding more complex activities, especially when it is more specialized to extreme outdoor actities. The hints are widely variable, but mostly quite limited. That´s ok, but this exercise feels more like a B2 or C1 exercise, or else put in more hints. I think A2 and B1 students will be discouraged after attempting this one.

I absolutely agree. Definitely a B2 for me. It was a good exercise though with interesting vocabulary.

Hola Jerald W

Thank you for the feedback! We recognize that the grammatical structure is manageable for B1; however, we understand the vocabulary may be quite challenging, which is why we’ve raised the level to B2. This exercise does indeed lean on the tougher side for B1, especially with the range of word choices related to more complex activities, particularly extreme outdoor activities.

While the hints provided are intentionally varied, we realize they may be somewhat limited for some users. We appreciate your point and will consider adding more hints or re-evaluating the difficulty. We don’t want A2 and B1 students to feel discouraged, so we’ll look into adjustments to make the exercise more accessible or clear for learners at these levels.

Thanks again for helping us improve!

Silvia
