If definite articles are used on the subject of a sentence, why are they used with ríos and vegetación? Isn't the subject of the sentence acid rain? If a word that receives the action of the verb (contaminar) is the object , doesn't that make ríos and vegetación objects not subjects?
I think I've reached the limit of all my understanding of grammar in both Spanish and English. I can't get this right. I'm ready to quit.

The sentence given was "resultados terapéuticos en el dolor de estómago, cuello, espalda y pierna." In the A2 "Everything hurts!" exercise for this week there was a sentence "También, tengo dolor de estómago y de pies," where the "de" was repeated. I rationalised this as being way of saying that I have pain from / of stomach and from / of feet. I can't understand why the "de" isn't repeated in the example above from this B1 exercise.

I can tell you care about UX, so I would say there is too much clicking to move through this exercise. Maybe you could save the grading until the end, and just move from point to the next, or you could at least take out the self-grading requirement to move to next.

I'm just wondering why didn't you group pedir with competiir/servir into one lesson. Their semi regular pattern with changes in the 3rd person only appear to be identical, and it would streamline the process.
