when do we use aumentar vs ir en aumento?
when do we use 'en' + noun pattern? or rather when do we use 'ir`? is it a grammar pattern where 'ir' + ' en' + noun?
Mi hermano tiene ________ perros.
My brother has many dogs.
In this quiz I put "muchos" however I got it wrong as it said the correct answer is "muchas". Which word is feminine in this sentence?
For the sentence below I would say "Whoever"
"Who/Which person studies a lot gets good results."Or "He/she who ..."

Hi Silvia. In the example, "Tal vez yo haya estudiado mucho para el examen," the English translation says, "I might have studied a lot for the exam". Is that "I might have studied a lot" in the sense "maybe I would have studied a lot [if I had time?"] Or "Perhaps (it possible) I studied a lot for the exam"? Both?
Oh wait, after writing this I realized that the sentence perhaps means, "I should have studied a lot for the exam.” We Americans almost never use the word “might” in this sense. I’m not sure how much you Brits (all British residents) do. Is this the sense in which it is used here?
Can I say menos tiempo instead of menos? Can I also say se tarda mucho menos tiempo (it takes much less time)?
In the question:
They will be very cold when they go to Scotland next December.
It seems to me that this is a quite certain plan, like one of the examples here: ‘ Cuando voy de vacaciones a Tenerife me hospedo en el hotel Olimpia.’
So I thought the answer should be in the indicative:
Tendrán mucho frío cuando irán a Escocia el próximo diciembre.
But the correct answer was in the subjunctive:
Tendrán mucho frío cuando vayan a Escocia el próximo diciembre.
Why is that? Is it a mistake?
Why is incorrect to say, "Fueron vacaciones geniales"? According to the quiz, one must say, "Fueron unas vacaciones geniales"
