I'm confused why the answer wouldn't be "Nació en dos mil y nueve." I thought the "y" was placed before the tens...?
Hola Silvia
Thank you for your previous explanation regarding "gafas" used in the plural form with a singular object. Please could you provide more examples of other nouns which follow this rule. Thank you!
Hola
Please explain why the sentence:
"Ningunas gafas me quedan bien" uses Ningunas and yet the sentence "Ningunos ninos de mi colegio llevan reloj" is incorrect even though both sentences have plural nouns and plural forms of the verb to agree with the nouns.
Un saludo
Hola
Please explain why in the below sentence there is no "a" before "Fernando".
A mí me cae bien Fernando. Also, in the sentence below do we need to repeat "a" before the word "Pedro"
A Juan y Pedro les gustó Anna.
Not clear on what this means:
"You can only use the singular forms ningún and ninguna at the beginning of a sentence if you are not using the double negative "no...ningún/ninguna".
Can you please provide the latter "no...ningún" with plural examples?
This might be the least helpful lesson out of 4 months of using kwiziq. This could really be updated to be more helpful.
Hola Silvia
Please could you confirm if the following sentence is incorrect.
Este libro le va a gustar a usted. You are going to like this book.
Also, is there an alternative word order eg. a usted le va a gustar este libro
Un saludo
The first question is: ¿Cómo has llegado hasta aquí?
This is the first time that I've seen the use of "hasta aquí". Is there a special reason to use that expression instead of simply "aquí"?
Hola Silvia!
Thank you for clarifying this. I have two further questions:
1. The sentence: A los hombre les gustó ella - can we place "a" before the word "ella"?
2. With the verb "encantar" when used to express liking could you give me an example of a sentence where the personal "a" is omitted when it is the subject of the verb and not the direct object.
Thank you!
Good evening
Please confirm if the above "personal "a" is used when referring to pets in the following sentences:
I like my cat.
I like cats
I like my pet
I like pets.
Thank you!
