Spelling of Frieda Kahlo

Hola Inma,

I'm fairly sure that Frieda's surname has been misspelt at the top of the lesson and at the end of the first sentence. I had always thought it was spelled "Kahlo" and all the sources that I have googled - both in English and Spanish - have given the same spelling.

Is the spelling Kalho a mistake?

Saludos. John

Thank you Clara. I've always been intrigued by the images of Frieda Kahlo, especially by how distinctive they are, and in such rich colours. For me she personifies Latin America in general. The wiki article on her is well worth reading. It is lovely to see photographs of her too, particularly in black and white. Saludos. John

FYI, it is indeed a misspelling of Kahlo, and although her official name was Frieda, she changed the spelling to Frida (and signed most of her works with this version).

You're very welcome John.

Yes, Frida certainly was a special character. She suffered so much and yet gave so much to the world.

I agree with you, the photos of her in black & white are quite beautiful.

Yes, that was a typo. Thanks for letting us know. It's been corrected.
