Translating English Present Perfect with 'since'

Since then, we've been joined at the hip = Desde entonces, hemos sido como uña y carne
When I queried why in the second example it was incorrect to say somos como uña y carne, Sylvia explained:

I don't understand then why it is incorrect to say has estado mi mejor amiga desde que éramos pequeñas
Is it correct to say " he vivido en esta casa desde hace 20 años" ? There is an enduring connection. The lessons with desde always state the use of the present.

Haber tenido = sustantivo
Habiendo tenido = adverbio
Habiendo tenido ese accidente, depende de su pareja.
Haber tenido ese accidente lo hizo dependiente de su pareja.

in numbers is this 12:45With digital times. Do people do like 2:05 or 2:55 some how.Pondering... I would guess people have usual ways they do it. I don't think I have ever said 15 to 2... always 145. ... and you have appointment at say 2. The person might say you appointment is in 10 minutes if the time is 1:50. I think digital clocks have changed things. I wonder if children growing up now know what clockwise means and counter clockwise. ??? Spanish prolly has words for that too.

Would it be "Ella estuvo" here if we add a specific time like "Ella estuvo lavándose el pelo de 8 a la 8:30" ?
Also, we would appreciate the El indefinido progresivo examples with all pronouns as just having 3 is not enough to remember the conjugations.

I answered this because:

"I drank a lot tonight" seems like a recent past action...
What am I failing to understand here?

So... I have two contradictory sets of information given to me... which one do I use?
Why is "Yo he visto a tu madre esta mañana" more correct than " vi a tu madre esta mañana" for "I saw your mother this morning"?
Sentence: “Ella dijo que habían problemas en el trabajo.”
Why is “habían” used and not “había”?
Is it because “problemas” is plural?
I learned that when referring to parts of the body, not to use the pronoun mi because it is understood that it is my body. Also does the verb estar refer to something temporary. If so, why does a sentence say va a ser una experiencia relajante?
