I like to think back to how new structures build on previous ones.  Are these sequences correct?

(1) las sandias grandes (large), las sandias más grandes (the largest), las sandias más grandes jamás cultivadas (the largest ever grown).

(2) el mejor vestido (the best), el mejor vestido jamás deseñado (the best ever designed)

One of the questions for this section was

Yo soy directora en una empresa. (I am a company manager).

Wouldn't it be better to say 

Yo soy directora de una empresa. ?

I checked to make sure it wasn't a word I didn't know in English ;) 

In English I believe this is incorrect. The gerund refers to the subject in the other sentence, so this sounds as if whoever knocked on the door was also getting ready for the party.

In Spanish if it is correct - how do we know it refers to ella? Based on context?

Why do we use 'mucha fruta' and not 'mochas frutas' for a lot of fruits?

Apologies, as this is a bit outside the lesson. Can the infinitive ever stand alone as a command in Spanish (without the a + form) in either the negative or positive? I was under the impression that it could, but I don’t specifically remember learning to do so, and I might be transferring from another language I’ve studied. Thanks!

When talking about unknown information, use cuándo.

When talking about known information, use cuando.

Will this always work?

Is it possible to tell whether something is more or less probable without a context?

e.g the test question which translates as ' write down the address in case you forget'

Not quite sure of the English in the translation - at the bottom a drawer in the chest of drawers.

Do you mean -  in the bottom draw of the chest of drawers?
