Para istead of que

Podemos cambiar que por la preposición para? No hay alimentos para comer?

The English seems unnatural or wrong to me.Nosotros estaríamos equivocados contigo.

We would be wrong with you.

I would say "We would be wrong about you."

Have you heard the news? In English,  have you heard is very general.  It could be addressed to… you=tú, you=usted, you=vosotros, you=ustedes.  The correct answer should reflect all four possibilities.

Shouldn't the last example be para el examen? isn't the preposition para necessary?

Hola Inma, 

Cociné esta comida la semana pasada y es aún mejor que se puede imaginar. La combinación de las verduras [pimientos rojas y verdes y tomates] en un caldo de pescado es perfecto para un día frío .... pero no te olvides al menos dos dientes de ajo. Las patatas terminan la textura del plato perfectamente. Tenemos la suerte tener pescaderías excelentes en nuestra región [de Irlanda] así que no es difícil comprar atún fresca. 

Para información: El nombre inusual es de "Marmite" [de francés], que es una tipa de cacerola metálica con una tapa. "Marmitako" es lo que se llama en el país vasco. Además, en el oeste de Cantabria este plato se llama "Sorropotún," y en el este y en el centro de la costa, "Marmita."  Todo el mundo debería probarlo. Saludos. John

Ser and emotions/feelings

Why in the following example is ser used? I thought that the estar form would be used because cheerful is a an emotion or feeling. Wouldn't this indicate that the group is "always cheerful"?

Ustedes ________ muy alegres. 

You are very cheerful.

Used a lot in Mexico, how do we ask questions

Good topic.  I hear these constructions a lot from my Mexican friends.  Even in dance class the instructor used to say "¿Sale?" after teaching a new step.

I find that in general they use inverted constructions a lot in Mexico.

How would we put these constructions into question form?  For example, could we ask "¿Cómo te sale?" to ask how something turned out?

En la oración: Espero que mi madre COCINE un pavo asado riquisimo con un relleno hecho de pan y maiz de salvia. What is the conjugation of "cocine", please?
