I had always learned and also read stories in books where conversations began and ended with a long dash, (un guion). The grandma was always saying ends with a colon. I expected a guion at the beginning of what she said and also the first letter of her first word to be Capitalized. I am confused.
Looks like English translation in the second example is wrong.h
In the phrase "Este domingo iré a comer a casa de mis padres", why isn't there an article (la) before "casa"?
Is this true for all regular verbs (-ar, -ir, -er)?
I kept expecting this to end with something like, “y la odio.” :)
1. Yo no sabía que ellos ya conocían a nuestro sobrino.
2. Yo no sabía lo que ellos ya conocían a nuestro sobrino.
What it be if the sentence is "I didn't know what they already knew our nephew."
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you very much for this lesson !
I am curious how this structure would work if the direct object is a pronoun, something like the following.
I had a beautiful beer mug. I accidentally dropped it.
