Hi, I was organizing my tenses chart and realize there's only "Pretérito perfecto simple" that can find "fui" in both ser and estar. I cannot find a page that shows "El Pretérito Indefinido", I'm wondering are this two tenses the same thing?

Why is 'peli' not accepted in place of películas?

I just need to understand in this following sentence why 'le explicas' isn't used instead? 

Podrías hablar con la jefa y explicarle la situación.

Is it treated as following poder rather than hablar?

One of the questions is: .(fill in)....los regalos ella sopló las velas. One of the correct answers is "Antes de recibir Ana". De complete sentence sounds odd to me, is it correct?

I've seen your lessons on que without an accent including one on que used in question format with indicative to indicate disbelief.  But my question is about que without an accent in declarative statements that seem to show emphasis or surprise.

I can think of one example.  "Ahora que recuerdo!"

Is there a lesson on this type of que or can you explain it a little? Is it simply emphasis and can I use it an any sentence where I want to put emphasis?

Paco ________ una manifestación en la ciudad.  Your answer:  Paco ha visto...Paco saw a demonstration in the city.(HINT: Conjugate “ver” in El Pretérito Perfecto)Why would this sentence use a perfect tense, when the event is clearly finished?Paco ha visto... - Paco has seen...  is very different than Paco saw. 

When using the de + infinitive construction, does the tense used in the main clause indicate the level of probability? Eg present = possible, future = less possible, conditional = very unlikely/impossible?

When is use of de + infinitive preferable to using the conditional si construction?
