Please ignore my question about this - I see now whay's going on.

This recommends "estudiando violin" but "tocar el violin."  I don't understand the rule for when to use the definite article.

Why is it "los jueves POR la noche" but "disfrutando DE la noche"?

No ________ a más de 50 kilómetros por hora! Don't drive at more than 50 kilometres per hour!

The "correct" answer provided was conduzcáis with conducid was not an option.  A mistake?

"Mi padre no es ________ maestro".

The question is "my father is not THEIR teacher" - so why is the answer "su", why not "sus" when it is their not his/her?

When I put Yo entiendo instead of just Entiendo it was marked incorrect. Is it my error or a program error ?

I have read all the correspondance around this lesson, but my problem has not surfaced. It is this:-

if 'mirar' is intransitive and needs pronoun 'a' before inanimate objects, then I don't have a problem. If, however, it is transitive and takes a direct object ( of inanimate objects ) then I cannot see why there is an indirect  object pronoun at all. Can you explain?

Maybe this meaning should be on the list as well, from your lesson that "dejar de" + infinitive means to stop doing something or give up something:

Using dejar de + [infinitive] = to stop doing something/to give up something
