La capoeira se creó

Hola Inma,

I think the spelling of the indefinido of creer should be "creyó."

Hola a todos

Yes, it's one of those that create a bit of confusion because of their similarity in spelling, so, just to clarify, these are the conjugations of these two verbs in the Indefinido:

Crear (to create)

Yo creé, tú creaste, él-ella-usted creó, nosotros creamos, vosotros creasteis, ellos-ustedes crearon

Creer (to believe)

Yo creí, tú creíste, él-ella-usted creyó, nosotros creímos, vosotros creísteis, ellos-ustedes creyeron

Buenas tardes John ...

'Creó' is from the verb 'crear' [= 'create'].

Yes David, an interesting distinction in spelling but not in sound! In the exercise it is talking about how capoeira "was created" so it uses creó as opposed to creyó meaning s/he believed.

Thanks Inma I missed that one.

Much obliged. John
