Hola Inma,
Por favor, me puedes explicar esta, 'por no decir...'. Tengo una idea, pues más o menos, pero no estoy segura.
Gracias y saludos. Sé que es tarde...Feliz Año Nuevo:))
Would it be safe to assume that "por" is used instead of "para" when it makes sense to say "porque", or "because" in English? This was just a connection I made while reading the lesson, and knowing this would be really helpful! If so, can the two words just be swapped out for one another? Thanks!
Sorry, re my previous question i meant Pongamonos, not pongonos.
Shirley.
I find this concept a bit confusing and awkward. "Las joyas estaban siendo robadas por el ladron." I feel it should be simpler, "las joyas fueron robadas por el ladron."
1. "Los históricos" seems to be an example of an adjective used as a noun? - [a feature of Spanish which may have been encouraged by its prevalence in Arabic, perhaps?]
2. I actually typed in "Las históricas" - because I thought that it was referring to las "estadísticas", and thus had to be feminine ?
This page is missing an accent on the "vosotros" ending for -ir verbs:

Hi! I had a similar issue to Nicole taking a test today.
The question was:
¿A qué ________?What do you do?
I answered te dedicas and se dedica. It marked me incorrect for not choosing trabajas as well. But I thought it was "en que trabajas", not "a que". Is this an error w/ the quiz or am I not understanding something?
Thank you!
I'm still a little confused about how to determine which to use - cual or que. In this lesson, you have an example that says:
"En esta tienda hay flores bonitas, ¿cuáles prefieres?
In this shop there are pretty flowers, which ones do you prefer? In a quiz I took here, I used cuales for what seems to be an identical sentence to me and it was marked wrong and said I should use "Qué":
¿________ flores prefiere?Which flowers do you prefer?
Is the difference that cual/cuales are used on their own and not before a noun? So only "which one/s". And If I want to say "which specific-thing" then I use que?
For example:Hay flores. Cuales te gusta? There are flowers. Which ones do you like?versusHay rosas y margaritas. Cual flor te gusta mas? There are roses and daisies. Which flower do you like more?
Is that correct?
Thank you!
