The term 'regular' is used to describe any word that is follows the general rule for the group of words it belongs to.

It is generally applied to verbs, meaning that they apply the general set of endings in tenses conjugations. 

A verb doesn't have to be regular in all tenses; sometimes a verb is irregular in the present but irregular in the future, for example.

But words like adjectives or adverbs can also be regular or irregular.
