We used "ver" here because in Peninsular Spanish it's very unusual to use "mirar" for watching the telly, watching a film.

They do say that they're working on making Latin American Spanish available, and I really hope they do soon because I like the interface and features here, but am more interested in learning the Spanish of where I came from
