The quiz is... Mis hijas _podrían ir_ al club matinal si yo necesitara ir al trabajo temprano. My daughters could go to the breakfast club if I needed to leave early for work.(HINT: This is a suggestion.)
My question is not about the answer per se... but the phrase {si yo necesitara ir al trabajo}... what is the verb tense or form for necesitara? I am thinking it was future of necesitar but that would have á vs a in the ending. Also the phrase will be will need to go to work. Thanks.
What verb tense is this?

What verb tense is this?
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Using poder to say could [do something] for polite requests and suggestions in Spanish (El Condicional Simple)"

Hola Mico
The future form is identical to the imperfect subjunctive in some instances, so it's very easy to get them mixed up. As you said, you always need the accent at the end for the future tense: necesitará, so it's not the future in this case.
This structure is using the subjunctive because it's talking about a hypothetical situation:
If I "were to need" to go to work,....
Here is a lesson where you can see how the imperfect subjunctive is formed.
And here is a lesson on how to use this tense in this kind of hypothetical situations:
I hope it helps.
Saludos cordiales
