¿Hay otra posibilidad?

I hope that you arrived last night.

Could you translate this as:

Espero que llegaras anoche

Mil gracias

Hola Stavroula

With the timeframe "anoche" (last night) we'd prefer to use the imperfect subjunctive:

Espero que llegaras anoche.

The present perfect subjunctive would be more appropriate for a timeframe like "esta mañana", which puts us still inside that timeframe when we say it:

Espero que hayas llegado esta mañana

Hola Ralph

Yes, absolutely! That is correct.

So, that means that in the example "I hope that you arrived last night", both preterito imperfecto and preterito perfecto are correct?

¿Hay otra posibilidad?

I hope that you arrived last night.

Could you translate this as:

Espero que llegaras anoche
