Just wondering why the extra word is in the English translation.

Don't make (any) noise    Kwiziq

No hagan ningún ruido

Hola Sherri

We always try to translate in the most natural way possible. You could drop "any" in the English in this sentence but it wouldn't sound as good as with it. This is why we sometimes put a specific word ub brackets, stated in the English but missing from the Spanish; for you to see the most accurate/natural translation.

Saludos,

Inma
