I understood pretty much all the sounds in this piece with the exception of 'gallega'.  To my (inadequate) hearing it sounded as if the narrator began the word with the letter 'r'.

For the question "Prefiero ir con Susana, ________ es más simpática" I answered "la quien". Your guide says that this is interchangeable (if more formal) than "que", but my answer was marked incorrect. Please can you explain?

The example sentence:

"En esta tienda pueden comprarse unas joyas muy bonitas."

The translation is given is 

"You can buy very nice jewels in this shop."

However could it also be translated as:

"They can buy themselves some very nice jewels in this shop." 

if we interpret the se as being an indirect object rather than passive?

This one to me does not mean 'to want someone to', but 'to want something done'. So I think, 'Todos queremos el problema se resuelva pronto' is enough.

"In Spanish, nouns can be preceded by numbers."     Can the numbers be other places?

If they can would you give examples.    Sounds like all the numbers are   invariable  if below 199.    200 and above agree with noun that it is in front of.    And the agreement goes with the hundreds.

100 when  it becomes 101 the word for 100 becomes Ciento    Is it only ciento when working with nouns.    Say in general counting ciento also.    People are talking about a cienta.   Maybe does not happen.

Do we have link to learn about numbers?

All the examples are in present tense. 

How do we know if something is countable.    I don't think we can count stars.

And we can count money.      trees... I can count in my yard but not in forest.
