Conjugate Spanish regular -ar, -er and -ir verbs in present perfect subjunctive tense in Spanish (El Pretérito Perfecto de Subjuntivo)

If a Spanish verb has a regular past participle we say this verb is regular in the perfect tenses because perfect tenses conjugations use the past participle of the main verb.

The auxiliary verb haber is conjugated in the present subjunctive, which is irregular, with stem hay- , and it's followed by the regular past participle of the main verb.

Tal vez yo haya estudiado mucho para el examen.I might have studied a lot for the exam.

Me alegro de que hayas viajado a diferentes países.I am pleased that you have travelled to different countries. [you=tú]

Espero que el chico haya comido bien.I hope that the boy has eaten well.

No creo que nosotros hayamos corrido tantos kilómetros.I don’t believe that we have run that many kilometers.

No pienso que vosotros hayáis dormido lo suficiente.I don’t think that you all have slept enough.

Espero que ellos hayan conseguido el trabajo.I hope that they have got the job.

Me entristece que ustedes no hayan pasado la prueba.It saddens me that you haven't passed the test.

Note that the construction tal vez (maybe) accepts the indicative and the subjunctive moods with no change in meaning.

Tal vez has vivido antes aquí. (indicative mood)You might have lived here before. [you=tú]

Tal vez hayas vivido antes aquí. (subjunctive mood)You might have lived here before. [you=tú]

Remember how to form regular -ar, -er and -ir past participles:

habl-ar   ->  habl-ado

com-er  -> com-ido

viv-ir  ->  viv-ido
