Spanish object pronouns

Object pronouns replace nouns or groups whose function in the sentence is to receive the action of the verb, to be the object of the verb.
For example:
Matilda writes to her dad. - 'Her dad' is the object of the action of writing.
-> Matilda writes to him. - 'Him' is the object pronoun replacing 'her dad'.
Note that in Spanish, object pronouns are more often placed before the verb:
Matilda le escribe.
Matilda writes to him.
Yo lo veo.
I see it.
