Why is this singular not plural if it’s “monuments are...”

Hay muchos monumentos de la cultura ________ en España. There are many monuments from Arabic culture in Spain.(HINT: árabe = Arabic)

Because the adjective relates to the noun culture [singular] not monuments [plural]
