Predicir en el presente
I must be missing something. In the lesson on conjugation of "decir" the first person singular is given as "digo" and "predicir" is listed as being conjugated similarly. However, in the test I just took my answer of "predigo" for the first person singular of "predecir" was marked wrong and the correct answer was given as "predijo." Is this a mistake.
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Conjugate decir and its derivatives in the present tense in Spanish: predecir, bendecir, maldecir (El Presente)"

Hola Bob M.
In this case, the form “predijo” is actually from the Pretérito Indefinido (past tense), not the present tense. The present tense of predecir follows the same pattern as decir, so the correct first person singular is “predigo”.
It looks like there might have been a mix-up between tenses in the quiz — thanks for spotting that!
Saludos
Silvia
