The suggested translation of 'to go red on the face' sounds odd. In English, we would say 'to go red in the face' or, more colloquially, 'to get red-faced'

That was a typo -now it's saying "in the face".

Typo. We might simply use the verb, “to blush”.

We used "to go red in the face" as it's also an expression in English that conveys the same idea, when you get embarrased.
