"I've lived in Málaga since 2010."

Why is my answer wrong, I have used desde but the tense is marked wrong

I've  =    I have

so why not present perfect?

Hola Maggi

This is precisely the difference between the English and the Spanish; in English you say "you have done something since ..." but for this we don't use the perfect tense in Spanish, we use the Present tense instead, so:

I've lived in Málaga since 2010. (perfect tense)

Vivo en Málaga desde 2010. (present tense)

I hope this clarified it.

Saludos
