When I took the ¿Cómo Estás? A2 Kwiz related to this subject, this question below was marked wrong ("feliz" in red), saying my answer should have been "contenta". Since they both refer to being Happy, can you explain why Contenta is better in this sentence?
MARÍA: Venga chicas, ¡ánimo! Yo estoy muy feliz, ¡tengo un trabajo nuevo!
the option using "contenta" is also correct. The reason why the system considered it wrong is because in the fill-the-gap exercises you are given options in the hint in order to choose one of them as correct, and the only correct option in the hint was "feliz".
But you can indeed say "estoy muy feliz" or "estoy muy contenta".
