El ceibo es la flor nacional argentina.

I put argentina nacional instead of nacional argentina. Can't the adjective go after the noun here or does it have to be before it? Thanks.

The adjective "nacional" tends to be placed near the noun when there is more than one adjective. It's far more common to say things like: "la bandera nacional de + country" or "el himno nacional de + country". It wouldn't be incorrect to say "la flor argentina nacional" but it wouldn't be the usual.
