A los pocos días después

Hi, what does A mean here? Can it be omitted and still be grammatically correct?

Thanks a lot,

Shirley.

Hola Shirley

The text is saying "A los pocos días, sería pasada a disposición judicial..."

This is a way to say "after a few days...", using "a" followed by a length of time. You can't omit "a".

Other examples could be:

Hice el examen y a las tres horas el profesor me dijo que había suspendido.

I did the exam and 3 hours later the teacher told me I had failed.

Me tomé un paracetamol y a los 10 minutos mi dolor de cabeza había desaparecido.

I took a paracetamol and 10 minutes later my headache had disappeared.

We'll create a lesson with this content.

Un saludo

Inma
