Interrogative and exclamatory adjectives

Interrogative and exclamative adjectives work in a very similar way.
They are words that help us build interrogative sentences and exclamatory sentences and expressions.
Cuánto and qué are Interrogative and exclamatory adjectives when they accompany nouns.
Cuánto (exclamatory)
¡Cuánto dinero! (How much money!)
¡Cuánta alegría! (How much happiness!)
¡Cuántos kilómetros quedan todavía! (There are still lots of kilometres to do!)
¡Cuántas hormigas hay en este parque! (There are lots of ants in this park!)
Cuánto (interrogative)
¿Cuánto dinero tienes? (How much money do you have?)
¿Cuánta sal has puesto? (How much salt did you put?)
¿Cuántos kilómetros quedan? (How many more kilometres are there left?)
¿Cuántas manzanas has comido? (How many apples did you eat?)
Qué (exclamatory)
¡Qué pena! (What a pity!)
¡Qué alegría! (What a joy!)
¡Qué chico tan listo! (Such clever boy!)
¡Qué niñas más guapas! (Such pretty girls!)
¡Qué bolsos tan bonitos! (Such pretty handbags!)
Qué (interrogative)
¿Qué casa te gusta más! (Which house do you like the most?)
¿Qué sillas usamos? (Which chairs shall we use?)
¿Qué ingredientes necesitamos? (Which ingredients do we need?)
¿Qué documental viste ayer? (Which documentary did you watch yesterday?)
Remember to always add at the beginning and at the end:
- two exclamation marks, open exclamation [¡] and close exclamation [!]
- two question marks, open question [¿] and close question [?]
