In Spain there are many castles. Generally, they are not palaces, they are defensive fortresses. Most of the castles are in Castile, that's how this region got this name. I usually visit castles every summer with my friends. I really like their history, especially the history of medieval castles. I think it is very exciting and it is important to know the life of our ancestors.
