How the test works

Here's a preview of the text for the writing challenge, when you're ready click the start button above:

At dawn, the market awakens with a gentle murmur. Soon, the sellers raise their voices to attract attention. First, a butcher proclaims the quality of his lamb and, next, a fishmonger announces the arrival of seafood from the estuary. Some buyers bargain with infinite patience while others accept the offers without questioning them. In that atmosphere, the aromas of spices reinforce the sense of abundance and the colors of the vegetables fill the space with life. At the same time, a child gazes at the stalls with astonished eyes. Perhaps it is the first time he has been to a market! The bustle begins to grow little by little in the market as the hours go by, although each voice keeps a distinctive and recognizable tone. As time goes by, the afternoon slowly sets in. The sellers lower their voices and the customers scatter. Finally, the market goes quiet and falls into complete silence.

Getting that for you now...
