Huir (to run away) and construir (to build) are irregular verbs in Spanish in El Presente.
Have a look at this table:
to run away
él / ella / usted
|nosotros / nosotras
|vosotros / vosotras
||huis / huís
|ellos/ ellas /ustedes
Notice how for these verbs, the vowel -i- becomes -y-
EXCEPT for nosotros/nosotras and vosotros/vosotras where it remains -i-
Notice how for the vosotros forms:"construís" has a written accent [´] but "huir" has both "huis" and "huís" (with and without a written accent). This is because when pronounced as a monosyllabic word it does not require an accent. However, some Spanish speaking countries have a pronunciation that treats it as two syllables, in these instances it is permitted to write it with a written accent.
Look at and listen to these examples:
Yo construyo una casa.I'm building a house.
Tú huyes del incendio.You're running away from the fire.
Ella construye un puente.She's building a bridge.
Nosotros huimos de los bombardeos.We're running away from the bombing.
Vosotros construís un palacio.You're building a palace.
Ellos huyen de la lluvia.They're running away from the rain.
