In the quiz the answer was con Uds but I chose what I knew wasn't the right answer ustedes because the Uds would be  capitalized in the middle of the sentence. I'm pretty sure that's not correct either. Anyway, I don't think we need these kind of trick questions. My thought is that is a poorly created test question. That said, I'm interested if one ever capitalizes Uds in the middle of a sentence or if the capitalized Uds is standard for the abbreviation of usted and I am wrong here.

In the quiz, the sentence was :  Vas a ir con ella al teatro.  I know that it doesn't sound quite right to say "Vas a ir consigo al teatro", but why would that be incorrect?

Not a big deal but would it be correct to abbreviate ustedes following con?

Are you going to the theatre with her? : ¿Tú vas a ir ___ al teatro?

Using preposition con followed by a pronoun to say with me, you, him, her, us, you (plural), them

The correct answer was "con ellos" but shouldn't it be "con ella" (which wasn't an option.

For the question: Tengo dos compañeras simpáticas y salgo ________ cada viernes. I have two nice colleagues and I go out with them every Friday. (HINT: female colleagues)

Why isn't the answer "vosotras"? Wouldn't these colleagues be familiar enough? They go out for lunch every Friday! 

I get it.  Le is not the correct answer for a reason, but not the reason given in the lesson examples.  Just because the preposition "con" is always followed by a subject pronoun is insufficient explanation.  It implies that "con" was already a given, but it was not.  I believe that "le" is an indirect object/pronoun and therefore not correct.
