John and you have green eyes. 

"Juan y tu _______ los ojos verdes.  

I chose "teneis" since "you and Peter" would be more correctly as "You (plural sense) and not "they", which kwizbot marked as "they". Why? Thanks

This is because you chose the Latin American variant, so it's giving you the form of the verb for "you plural" in Latin America: "ustedes tienen" - in the European Spanish version of this question the answer is "vosotros tenéis".
