Is there a special case in Spanish for using the Tener verb when it does not mean to possess something but to take something? Why would you say "Tened sus pertenences" instead of "Tomad sus pertenences"
Why was Tener the correct verb for a sentence meaning "Take her things"? Surely it is Tomar?
