Hi Shirley,I think they may be using the verb "irse" which usually means 'to go away' [from a place]. It may be a slightly colloquial use like "you went off out with your friends." I have seen a reference to "irse' meaning 'to split" which has that modern inference about 'leaving a place suddenly' so it may be that they are trying to communicate that.I'm sure the teachers will clear it up.Saludos.
