Quiz question: "Si envías un correo hoy, probablemente ________ respuesta mañana." The conditional is apparently wrong here, but I don't think I understand why. Wouldn't it translate as "If you send a letter today, you would probably get a reply tomorrow."?

Why is the conditional inapt?

Hola R
The conditional would have been right but it would be a slightly different sentence to what we show in our sentence in Spanish:
Si envías un correo hoy, probablemente recibirás/recibes respuesta mañana.
If you send an emaill today, you will probably receive an answer tomorrow.
Si envías un correo hoy, probablemente recibirías respuesta mañana.
If you send an email today, you would probably receive an answer tomorrow.
Saludos
Inma
In this context I don't think would/will mean different things in English, but maybe I am missing a nuance. In English I think they're interchangeable pretty often.
