To me, te ayadara LOOKS LIKE I will help you.
¿Querías que te ayudara con tus deberes?Did you want me to help you with your homework?

Hola Todd

The form of the imperfect subjunctive is in some cases the same as the future. The difference is the accent and pronunciation. In the future you always have an accent on the last syllable:

Ella compra fruta. She will buy fruit. (notice the accent)

No quería que ella comprara fruta. I didn't want her to buy fruit. (notice the lack of accent)

I hope it clarified it.

Saludos
