I was wondering if you could refer me to a lesson that goes over placement of adverbs - I looked at the lesson re this section, but it didn’t mention placement, just how to form it. And also how to know when to use the article and to not use in "a la recepción/ a recepción"

in terms of placement of adverbs there is no specific lesson I am afraid, as in Spanish there is quite a lot of flexibility in terms of placement. You could say:
Llamamos inmediatamente a la recepción/ a recepción.
Llamamos a la recepción/ a recepción inmediatamente.
Inmediatamente llamamos a la recepción/ a recepción.
In terms of using the article "la" for "recepción" or omitting it, both are fine. If we omit it, we are referring more to the "department" and if we say "la recepción" it would be referring more to the "place/desk". With departments in a company we tend to omit them, for example:
"Tengo que hablar con "Recursos Humanos" para que ajusten mis horas."
I need to talk to HR so that they adjust my hours.
I hope it was useful.
