Hola Michael

The same thing was reported by Marcos some time ago (if you have a look at this same thread you'll find the answer we gave) It seems that in English the collective noun "family" can be seen as one group or as the different individuals in the family, which will trigger the verb in singular or the verb in plural respectively.

We've decided though to change that specific question that says "mi familia quiere..." to the English "my family wants". I hope that helps.

Hola Wylie

You need the article "a" in plural: "unos/unas", the same way you need it in English: "It was a great vacation". It would be incorrect to say "It was great vacation". The same applies to the Spanish sentence, you cannot omit the article.

I hope this helps,

Saludos,

Inma

The hint says use "un" for some, but in fact the answer uses "unas" for some. I would have answered "unas" but I was more confused than helped by this "hint". I guess a more useful hint should say "Use a form of "un" to indicate "some"".
