using time frames

using time frames

What if we have specific time frame?

I was going to paint my bed last week?

This lesson still applies or Preterite should be used? It was planned for the last week. Or now it depends on which time frame we use?

Hola Cachoot

You can still use this structure with a specific time frame, for example:

Ayer iba a ir al gimnasio, pero al final me quedé en casa viendo la tele.

Yesterday, I was going to go/ I was planning to go to the gym, but in the end I stayed at home watching telly.

La semana pasada iba a pintar mi habitación, pero tenía tanto trabajo atrasado que no pude.

Last week I was going to/ planning to paint my room, but I was so delayed at work that I couldn't do it.

Saludos
